Bringing you wound care unit at the comfort of your home
Objective
1. Maintaining the quality of service provided at the hospital, and following up with the same treatment recommended of the patient’s consultant
2. Providing wound care and wound dressing change at home for patients while maintaining the proper way of handling wounds according to the consultants’ instructions
3. Giving away flyers to patients during check-out that emphasise the importance of wounds follow ups, and in case of referring to any external service for wound care, the hospital will not be held responsible for any complication that may appear to the wound.
4. Designing flyers for the same purpose to be distributed in ER unit, internal and external clinics.
Proposed Home Wound-Care Unit

● In case of a patient requesting Home wound-care service, they should be directed to Ms. Dina.
● The consultant and the patent are both entitled for choosing a nurse from the specialised nursing team assigned to the service.
● The wound should be photographed every wound-change, and the patient’s status and progress should be recorded by the nurse in the “Dressing Audit” record.
● Direct communication with the patient’s consultant should be kept during the visit, or according to the consultant’s request to provide details and get instructions.
● The assigned nurse is handed a ledger in case the patient chose direct payment per visit. The nurse should head directly to the finance department upon arrival to the hospital to settle the payment, keeping a copy of the receipt in the record and handing the original and other copies over to the head of the finance office.
● The “Dressing Audit” record and uploaded photographs should be submitted after the home visit to the head of the nursing team, Mr. Ahmed Adel.
Instructions for the Nursing Team
1. To assign for the nursing team, please head to Mr. Ahmed Adel.
2. Training courses will be held, and attendance is mandatory for every member of the nursing team
3. The hospital will not be held responsible towards the patient and the assigned nurse in case of direct contact with the patient without notifying the hospital. Legal and disciplinary measures will be taken against the involved nurse.
4. Geographical layout for home visits will be set for each member of the nursing team according to their preferences, while notifying the head of the unit.
Limphedema treatment unit is specialized in treating the swelling of body parts through physiotherapy sessions to treat chronic lymphedema for legs and arms, and prevent ulcers and injuries caused by the swelling. We use state-of-the art technology and medical devices to target the swollen parts demonstrate Intermittent pneumatic compression to improve venous circulation forcing fluids, both blood and lymph, to flow out of the compressed area, while utilizing high quality compression devices to maintain the appropriate leg form during treatment period.

What is Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy?
Hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBO) is a well-established form of treatment in which a patient breathes 100% oxygen at higher than normal atmospheric pressure. Hyperbaric oxygen therapy is given in special therapeutic chambers the pressure in this chamber is increased to higher than normal atmospheric pressure and the patient then breathes oxygen at this higher pressure.

By 1967, The Undersea and Hyperbaric Medical Society (UHMS) was formed, and is currently responsible for publishing the indications for HBOT. According to the UHMS definition and the determination of The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) and other third party carriers, the following indications are approved uses of hyperbaric oxygen therapy as defined by the Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy Committee.
